Metal Fence

Metal Fence

Metal Fence by Louise Carmeli Montes

Underneath monochromatic shades
I'm wired up like a metal fence
Trapped in this niche illusion
spectating inverted cohesion

Escapism is a beautiful phenomenon
but I resent this chain of dark defense
Forget the fragments of memories
trapped inside your bewildered soul

Wake up in reality and come to your senses
Breathe in, breathe out
It's all about perception
You are molded to become a better person

Louise Carmeli Montes

I am from Manila, Philippines. I graduated with the degree of BS Psychology and working in the industry of Human Resources. I like engaging in outdoor activities like running and hiking. But then just recently, I discovered something that I am really passionate about: writing poetry.

I first started to be fond of reading poems. Until one day, it led me to have the passion to try doing my own.

Writing is also my outlet of emotions. I consider this as a very beautiful kind of art and a way to relate with people. It feels good to touch hearts through poetry and letting the reader know that there is someone who also understands how he/she feels.

Let me be with you in voicing out your deepest thoughts and feelings. You can follow my Instagram account where you can see my creations: @shewritesforlou.

Long live poetry!
