Let Him Live

Let Him Live by Adrian Jesuthasan

LET HIM LIVE

Haven’t you noticed?
How quiet he is.
With no words to whisper
No thoughts to set him free.

Day by day, he drowns himself,
With a troubled mind, sorrows and pain.
No one to care for, no one to ask,
No one to see him, hide behind his mask.

He denies the world of his love and care,
Bottled up, with all despair.
The life he lives with nothing to share,
Is nothing more than a sad affair.

Their life ends when they see no hope,
Little do they know, there’s so much more?
If only you took the time to show them more,
The world would smile, with so much more.

The pain and suffering of a depressed mind,
Is not known to all mankind.
A child like him needs to know,
There’s always hope, let the world show you more.

I began writing poems in 2013. The focus of my poetry was mostly motivational and romance. I’ve written over 65 poems ranging from different categories.

Poetry has always helped me see the worlds differently. The beauty in things around us and to appreciate the little things in life. I’ve always looked at poetry as a puzzle. It’s what gives each poem life, and every stanza has its meaning that gives the poem true life.

Understanding why a poet described a particular poem the way he has makes you realize the emotions behind each poem and that’s what got me hooked on poetry.
